Board of Commissioner's Meeting Minutes
The Washington Park District is an independent municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Illinois. It is governed by a five member Board of Commissioners elected to six year terms in biennial public elections. They receive no compensation for attending meetings. The terms of office are staggered so that no more than two Commissioners are elected at one time. The board establishes general policies, adopts the budget and appropriation ordinance, appoints the District Treasurer, Attorney and Director.
Park Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Park District Administration Building located at 105 S. Spruce Street, Washington, Illinois. For more formation you may contact the Park District.
