Washington Park District’s official Inclement Weather Policy
The Park District will not cancel programs based on the weather forecast.
If classes in School Districts 50, 51, 52, 308 and St. Patrick’s Grade School in
Washington are cancelled the entire day due to inclement weather, Recreation Department
Programs of the Washington Park District will be canceled until 3pm. Decisions of cancellation
for classes held from 3-6pm will be made by 2pm and decisions of cancellation for classes
held after 6pm will be made by 4pm.
The decision to cancel REACH will be made on a case by case basis, but every effort will
be made to keep it open even during inclement weather.
Local radio and television stations will be contacted to broadcast our cancellations.
