Bus Trip & Ticket Refund Policy

In the case of all bus trips and programs where tickets are purchased, a refund can only be issued if a substitute can be found, due to the fact that the Park District must pay in advance for tickets, reservations and bus fees. This policy will be strictly enforced.

Resident vs. Non-Resident

“I live in Washington and I’m not a Resident?

A “Resident of the Washington Park District” is defined as anyone living within the geographic boundaries of the Washington Park District. A Washington Park District resident, via property taxes makes a significant financial contribution to the operation of the District, whether or not he or she takes advantage of the services offered.
The “Non-Resident Fees” are required of non-residents to apportion an equalizing fee to contribute to the overall financing of the park system on an equitable basis with residents.

The Washington Park District strives for excellent customer service. If our records are found to be incorrect, we will gladly offer you a complete refund and you will receive the program free of charge.

SMILE - Photo/Video Policy

On occasion, photographs, audio or video tapes are taken of program participants in classes or special events while using the parks and facilities. These photographs or tapes may be used for future publications or programs at the Park District’s discretion and becomes it’s sole property.

American’s with Disabilities Act

The Washington Park District will comply with the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. The Park District will make reasonable accommodations in recreation programs to enable participation by an individual with a disability who meets essential eligibility requirements for that recreation program. The ADA requires that recreation programs offered by the Washington Park District be available in the most integrated setting appropriate for each individual.
