WASHINGTON - All was quiet at the Washington Recreation Facility on a recent weekday evening. Custodial workers did routine chores. A man rode a stationary bike in the fitness center. WMS Commemorative Gymnasium Floor Plaque

The Washington Park District would like to give the residents of Washington the opportunity to purchase a commemorative plaque containing a piece of the original WMS gymnasium floor that was installed in 1934. This is the floor that your sons, daughters, and grandchildren competed on for so many years. Don't miss this opportunity to own a piece of our community's rich athletic history.
