Beginner Pickleball Lessons

Get into the swing of things with Joyce Hughes at our day clinics designed for newcomers to pickleball. You'll learn the rules, terminology, scoring, and then hit the court for some hands-on play. Activity clothes are recommended, and while bringing a paddle is not necessary, feel free to bring one if you have it. Come and discover this rapidly growing sport!

Intermediate Pickleball Lessons
Step up your game with Chris Kawakita, a seasoned tournament player and instructor, at our 3-day camp tailored for intermediate and advanced players. This camp will hone your skills and strategies in a fun, supportive environment. Don't forget your paddle, and get ready to elevate your pickleball prowess!

Pickleball League
Compete at our new Pickle Pad in an eight-week summer league open to all. Matches are self-umpired and the league allows for any combination of male and female players on doubles teams. Bring your best game and enjoy the competition!

Slow Pitch Softball
Our summer slow pitch softball leagues are open for both coed and men’s teams, with a fall league available for coed teams only. Join us for some friendly yet competitive softball action!

Adult Golf Lessons
In partnership with Hillcrest Golf Course, we offer golf lessons that meet once a week for four weeks. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, these lessons are a great opportunity.

Tae Kwon Do
Classes are held three times a week at the Washington Park District Building. Join our ongoing sessions billed monthly and start anytime to fit your schedule.

Ballroom Dance

  • Class 1: Learn the basics including moving forward, turning left, moving backward, turning right, promenade, and underarm turns. You'll master combinations of directional steps and how to confidently enter and exit the dance floor.
  • Class 2: For those ready for more complexity, this class includes Latin motion, Triple Swing, Club Dancing, and proper ballroom etiquette.
