The Washington Park District provides several outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy and connect with their neighbors. A section of Meadow Valley Park has been designated as the Washington “Bark” District Off-Leash Dog Park, offering a space for dogs to roam and socialize.

Generous Donations: Thanks to the generosity of several organizations, including Keystone Wire Red Brand Fencing, Honeywell Turbo Technologies, and Peoria Brick and Tile, the Park District has been able to establish this dedicated off-leash area for our canine companions. Their contributions, including fencing materials, have played a crucial role in bringing this project to fruition.

Features of the Off-Leash Dog Park:

  • The Off-Leash Dog Park provides a safe and secure environment for dogs to exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors.
  • With ample space for running and playing, dogs can engage in healthy physical activity while interacting with other dogs and their owners.
  • The park is designed to promote positive socialization and enrichment for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Year-Round Access: While we strive to maintain the Off-Leash Dog Park open year-round for the enjoyment of our residents and their furry companions, periodic maintenance may necessitate temporary closures. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of this valuable community asset.
