The Washington Park District is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT:
We are not accepting applications for part-time employment at this time.
PART TIME EMPLOYMENT:
Basketball Rec League Referee (10 positions available)
Referees will be in charge of starting the games on time, and officiating the game from beginning to end. Refs will enforce the rules of the game, maintain standards of play at sporting events, and ensure rules are followed. Refs must study and know the rules of each league they work. Refs must observe gameplay closely at all times, and make calls based on the application of game rules. This position will mainly include weekend games.
All Washington Park District Employees should:
- Be reliable and on time for each scheduled shift
- Be great communicators and knowledgeable about the park district
- Be able to follow directions and be thorough
- Have a great attitude and enjoy coming to work each day
- Be 16 years old** or more (15-year olds can only be employed if they obtain a work permit)
- Preference will be given to park maintenance applicants that are 18 year or older
**Certain 15-year-old candidates will be hired based on the individual candidate and Washington Park District staffing needs.
