Under the direction of the Superintendent of Parks & Property, the Park Maintenance & Athletic Facility Supervisor has the responsibility for the maintenance, repairs and improvement of all grounds, facilities, buildings, equipment and vehicles. The Parks Maintenance & Athletic Facility Crew Supervisor is a full-time employee typically scheduled to work from 7:00 am to 4:00 p.m. of each workday, Monday through Friday, but is expected to respond to emergencies as necessary. Due to the nature of the job some nights and weekends will be required to assist with special events, programs and other maintenance issues that may require immediate attention and may work up to 55 hours a week. Summer Day Camp Counselors - Help lead activities and be responsible for the well-being of camp kids ages 5-12 during our summer camp. Summer Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 7 - August 13th from 6:00am-6:00pm and counselors can expect to work several days per week for up to 8 hours a day.
Seasonal Ballfield/Park Maintenance - Responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of outdoor park facilities. Hours are usually daytime Sunday-Saturday with expectation to work on the weekends. Job can involve manual labor for an extended period of time outside in a variety of temperatures.
Pool Cashiers - Responsible for running a computer taking money for admission at the Washington Park Pool. Additional responsibilities may include cleaning and sanitizing for daily pool opening and closing.
Concession Workers (Pool and Sports Fields) - Responsible for preparation and serving of food, collecting money, operation of a cash machine, filling out daily reports, cleaning and sanitizing for opening and closing of the facility.
Lifeguards - Responsible for providing a safe and clean aquatic facility for the patrons at the Park Pool. Must be a licensed lifeguard or be obtaining the certification spring 2021. Additional responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing to maintain a clean facility for patrons.
