Our Early Childhood programs cater to children aged 2 to 5 years old, held at the Washington Park District Building located at 105 S. Spruce St. These classes are typically offered year-round. For specific details, please refer to our current brochure.
Building Blocks
This program focuses on laying a solid foundation for learning through play. We emphasize positive social skills such as sharing, taking turns, following directions, and learning classroom routines. Our daily activities include circle time, art, story sessions, and free play, encouraging children to discover and explore their surroundings. Two-year-olds turning three during the session are also welcome to register.
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is designed for children ages 4–5 to help them build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for a successful kindergarten year. Using a Learning Center approach, we focus on all areas of early childhood development—social, emotional, physical, and academic—through a balance of structured activities and play-based learning.
Our daily schedule includes circle time, art, stories, snack, and creative learning centers, along with organized gym or playground time to keep kids active and engaged. With three classrooms available, children are encouraged to socialize, explore, and develop independence in an environment that fosters self-esteem and a love for learning.
Families may choose a half-day option from 9:00 am–12:00 pm or a full-day option from 9:00 am–2:00 pm.
